and Standard Instruments announced today a multi-year distribution
agreement that will expand Alpine's gastroenterology diagnostic
product and technology set. Alpine Biomed will continue to distribute
Standard Instruments' state-of-the-art pH recording systems for the
diagnosis of Gastro-Esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD); the agreement
increases Alpine's GI product line with Standard Instruments' new
systems for combined pH/impedance recording as well as several new
solutions for functional testing in Gastroenterology.

The alliance further expands Alpine's portfolio of diagnostic
solutions to the market and is expected to yield innovative new
technologies for improved patient care. "Our strengthened
