Teijin Completes Transfer of Indonesian polyester fiber subsidiary

Teijin Limited ("Teijin") hereby announces that as of April 15, 2010, it has transferred its entire stake in "P.T. TEIJIN INDONESIA FIBER Tbk." ("TIFICO"), Teijin's consolidated subsidiary (specified subsidiary) listed on the Jakarta Stock Exchange of the Republic of Indonesia, to four companies that have leading Indonesian textile manufacturers within their respective groups.

- April 15, 2010: Share transfer executed

- P.T. Hermawan Sentral Investama
- P.T. Wiratama Karya Sejati
- Pioneer Atrium Holdings Limited

3. Number of shares transferred and the status of shares held before and after the share transfer
(1) Number of shares held before the share transfer: 4,762,194,100 shares (shareholding ratio of 98.7%)
(2) Number of shares transferred: 4,762,194,100 shares
(3) Number of shares held after the share transfer: 0 share (shareholding ratio of 0%)
Note: The number of shares held by Teijin increased by 1,859,526,400 through a debt-to equity swap as of March 25, 2010.
(Number of shares held by Teijin as of December 18, 2009: 2,902,667,700 shares)

This transaction will enable TIFICO to reinforce its vertically integrated business of manufacturing polyester fiber, from spinning to weaving and dyeing, forming strong alliances with leading Indonesian textile groups.
P.T. Indonesia Teijin DuPont Films, located in the same site of TIFICO, will continue its operations.
