Teijin to Exhibit at Eco-products International Fair in India

Tokyo, Japan, February 2, 2011 --- The Teijin Group announced today that it will showcase a range of environmental products and technologies at the Eco-products International Fair (EPIF), Asia's largest environmental show, which will take place at the Pragati Maidan exhibition venue in New Delhi, India from February 10 to 12.

Teijin's exhibition (Stand 52, Hall 18) will present advanced products and technologies for environmental solutions in diverse fields, such as:

- Automobile/railcar/aircraft weight reduction: TENAX carbon fiber, PANLITE polycarbonate resin, TEONEX PEN (polyethylene naphthalate) film, HFF highly formable PET (polyethylene terephthalate) film, SULFRON aramid-based rubber ingredient, and ELK high- performance polyester cushioning material
- Solar/wind-powered renewable energies: PET film and TENAX carbon fiber
- Energy conservation: REFTEL transparent heat-insulating film, TELUMINA LED-backlit display panels and TELCLEAN antifouling, antibacterial and deodorizing surface modifier
- Biomaterials: BIOFRONT highly heat-resistant bioplastic and ECO CIRCLE PlantFiber bio-delivered PET fiber
- Recycling: ECO CIRCLE closed-loop polyester-recycling system
- Water purification: MSABP, ELCAT and HiPOx water-purification technologies
- Disaster prevention: ADEAM geogrid reinforcements (with TECHNORA aramid fiber)

"Since establishing Teijin India Private Limited in 2007, Teijin has been actively developing its market in India, particularly in fields such as automotive/railcar weight reduction, electronics, infrastructure, new energy and healthcare," said Junji Morita, Chief Marketing Officer and Supervisor of BRIC Business for the Teijin Group. "During the fair, our group companies will introduce cutting-edge environmental products and technologies that have proven track records in the global market and the potential to contribute to sustainable growth in India."

On the first day of the fair, Takashi Yamagishi, Senior Executive Advisor of Teijin Limited and the Chairperson of the Preparatory Committee for the EPIF, will deliver a keynote speech on "Green Challenges for Sustainable Society" to discuss sustainability issues and related initiatives being taken by the Teijin Group.

The EPIF, which is organized by the Asian Productivity Organization (APO), a regional inter-governmental organization, is held in a different APO member country each year. Now in its seventh year, the fair is expected to attract over 100,000 visitors from local and multinational companies, government, academia and the general public.
