- At Money20/20 2015, Gemalto shares insights on securing the next-generation of trusted digital payments
Austin, Texas, October 22, 2015. Gemalto (Euronext NL0000400653 GTO), the world leader in digital security, is bringing to light the security and fraud concerns banks and merchants should consider for secure digital payments from online to mobile and everything in between. Mitigating fraud and the losses it causes will continue to be an ongoing battle. It is about solving the different levels and types of fraud one at a time. For the U.S., the recent arrival of EMV chip technology is the first step and solves a major form of fraud - counterfeit cards at the point of sale. It is inevitable that fraudsters will refocus on the weakest link in the payment chain, and from previous EMV case studies, CNP transactions are the next target.

During the three day event (October 26th - 28th), Gemalto is demonstrating the newly launched Dynamic Code Verification (DCV) solution designed to protect against CNP fraud. Visit the Gemalto lounge to see first-hand how DCV is securing eCommerce payments and also the company's "top of wallet" card portfolio for banks interested in bringing a unique look and feel to their payment cards.
Hear from Gemalto's Jack Jania, SVP of Strategic Alliances, during his panel "Fraudsters in Cyberspace: Mitigating the Threat of Card-Not-Present Fraud" on October 28th at 12:40 in Marcello Ballroom, Venetian Level 4.

The panelists along with Gemalto's Jack Jania will discuss topics including the evolving patterns in fraud, how and what needs to be secured to minimize risk, and the mobile challenge.

- Gemalto: Shoreline's Processor Ready Program enables faster go-to-market deployment for EMV and Instant Issuance
Austin, October 22, 2015 - Shoreline, a Gemalto company, announces a formal Processor Ready Program, to streamline back-end activities essential to regional banks and credit unions. Shoreline's program integrates with all nine top U.S. payment processors. It allows card issuers to work with any processor they prefer while using Shoreline for EMV chip card production, personalization and fulfillment.

Through the program, Shoreline has certified its payment cards and standard Durbin-compatible profiles with each processor to facilitate a quick setup and personalization of EMV credit or debit cards. Shoreline's initial back-end integration accelerates a bank's EMV timeline and simplifies the deployment of instant issuance for on-the-spot EMV card issuance. Since channels and relationships are already established with processors, customers common to a given processor can leverage resulting efficiencies to make issuance rapid from end-to-end. The EMV migration can be easily sped up by eliminating the time demands that come with replicating connections and education for each issuer,

As instant issuance becomes a more popular option with regional banks and credit unions, the Shoreline Processor Ready Program is structured to work with that onsite enrollment and distribution method as well as traditional central issuance.

"Shoreline has made the ongoing investment to strengthen our partnerships with processors and become exceptionally familiar with their requirements and procedures," said John Roberts, Head of Sales at Shoreline. "We are able to pass on experience and efficiency to our regional banks and credit union customers thanks to our strong relationship with processors coupled with Gemalto's extensive EMV expertise."
