-Beaver ITServices achieves strong growth: recruitment of 180 new staff
- increasing importance of secondment in IT market
- strategic plan bears fruit
- turnover figures and new recruits confirm growth
Beaver ITServices, specialised in personnel and organisation for IT and a subsidiary of Solvus Resource Group, is achieving strong growth in turnover. In order to meet with ever increasing demand, Beaver ITServices is looking for 180 new employees.

In 2004, Beaver ITServices already realised turnover growth of more than 10%, as well as an improved operating result. In the first quarter of this year, Beaver ITServices achieved a further increase in growth of 23.5%. These growth figures mean that this supplier of secondment and specialist HR services for IT has surpassed both market figures and the Solvus group average (+8.8%). Agoria predicts growth between 3 and 4% for the ICT services sector and Gartner anticipates that the West European IT market will grow by 3.6%.

At present, Beaver ITServices has 580 employees in the Benelux and will be expanding this year and next through an additional 180 new recruitments. With this in mind, Beaver ITServices is looking for IT professionals .Net, Java/J2EE, SAP and Mainframe, complemented with other domains and profiles according to market demand. At Beaver ITServices, the months of June and September will be entirely dominated by recruitment.

Beaver ITServices sees clear growth potential in the Benelux market. In a stable market environment, Beaver ITServices is setting its sights until 2007 on an organic growth potential of 10 to 20% annually.

In order to continue this growth, not only will the number of employees be increased, but a particularly significant amount of attention will also be given to the employees' individual paths of growth.

"Providing interesting projects, valuable training and a pleasant work environment are important assets. Personnel policy must be just as dynamic as the technology that we are working with," says Filip Vanderbeken, Managing Director Beaver ITServices.

Trends in the present IT market
The IT market is in a state of recovery but, nevertheless, it is giving out mixed messages. This is partly as a result of differences between, for example, the United States and Europe and between different sub-sectors. Moreover, growth does not necessarily result in increasing employment, because the emphasis is clearly on efficiency through specialisation and integration in regard to which stress is being placed on budget management more than it was in the past. As a result of this trend, increasing importance is being attached in IT to well-trained personnel and proper organisation.

"Cost efficiency and careful management of personnel and organisation are often considered opposites. This is a mistake. To a significant degree, well-trained personnel and strong organisation make a contribution to profitability, particularly in the present IT market," adds Filip Vanderbeken.

Market-led strategy supported by Solvus
The change in the way businesses look at IT organisation formed the basis for the strategic action plan that Beaver ITServices launched last year. Through this plan, Beaver ITServices chose for a more specialised and integrated service:

- More specialised secondment:
Beaver ITServices specialises in a number of fields in addition to the secondment of general IT professionals. The Competence Centers and Special Interest Groups (SIGs) offer solutions to customers' demands, allow Beaver ITServices to attract higher-trained and specialised profiles, and allow it to work on its present employees' individual paths of growth.

- Integrated solutions for personnel & organisation:
Beaver ITServices provides total solutions under the headings of Managed Staffing & Services, Outsourcing and Project Management. These solutions include the management of entire company departments or sub-departments (operational management, training, planning & recruitment, mobility, etc.).

Beaver ITServices' approach and ambitions fit seamlessly with the new group strategy DRIVE 2007 that Solvus announced earlier this year. This strategy includes among other things the consolidation and further expansion of successful, specialised activities.

"Beaver ITServices sees itself strengthened further by the new future strategy of Solvus. At the same time, Beaver ITServices' good results confirm Solvus' strategic decisions and priorities. It is our objective to achieve sustainable, profitable growth," says Alain Dehaze, CEO Solvus Resource Group.
