European Capital Holdings (“ECH”), the multi manager fund listed on the Stock Exchange in Amsterdam, will start issuing new shares again as of 19 May 2006. ECH first suspended the issuance of new shares on 1 December 1999 and, apart from limited reopenings the latest of which was on 21 October 2005, ECH has remained closed to additional subscriptions.
Although most of the investment managers whom are regarded as suitable for an investment by the Fund continue to severely restrict the amount of money they manage, ECH has procured additional capacity with certain existing managers and the Directors of ECH consider that a limited increase in the share capital of the Fund would now be practical.
The Directors have therefore resolved to reopen the Fund to new subscriptions as from 19 May 2006. Should the amount of net subscriptions reach €50 million, the Directors intend once again to close the Fund to additional subscriptions.
As from 19 May 2006 ECH shares will be issued by the fund at net asset value per share. Shares may be purchased on the basis set out in the ECH prospectus.
