ALBUQUERQUE, NM -- (MARKET WIRE) -- July 18, 2006 -- Brinx Resources Ltd. (OTCBB: BNXR) (the "Company" or "Brinx") is pleased to report that the 3-D seismic survey on the Three Sands Project has been completed and processed. The company will review the data over the next 30 days in order to identify new drilling targets. The first of several potential drill targets identified from the new seismic will be drilled in the early fall of 2006.

The Three Sands Project offers significant upside in the short and long term. During the past 9 months Brinx has expended $600,000 on the Three Sands. Most of these funds were applied to acreage acquisition and the development of one large diameter high volume disposal well. The disposal well is exceeding expectation and should be able to handle water from up to five production wells.

"The completion of the seismic survey on Three Sands represents a very favorable step for Brinx in moving forward towards further developing this project," says Brinx President Leroy Halterman. "The potential upside at Three Sands is considerable as is evidenced by results of the continuing production from the initial test well, and other significant oil companies actively developing neighboring acreage."

The primary target of this project is the prolific Arbuckle, Wilcox and Viola formations. Geologically this field is a balded structure where a combination of structure and erosion produced the prolific field. Pay zones in the project range from the Arbuckle to the Pennsylvanian and are productive over a 5000-foot interval that starts at less than one thousand feet from the surface. The project is operated by Vector Exploration and consists of 880 acres of fee oil and gas leases.
