Op Wall Street waren belegger wederom goed geluimd na de dag ervoor al flink te zijn gestegen met +274 puntrn trok de Dow nog +120 punten verder aan op 10.138. De Nasdaq volgde goed mee +15 punten op 2.175
Angsten over een verzwakking groei blijven er, maar laten we tevreden zijn MET groei en niet alles tegelijk als of er niets aan de hand is geweest de laatste jaren.
In de Oostmarkt had de vrijdagstemming weinig invloed en volgden ze Wall Streets goede stemming.
In Japan de Nikkei +50 en de Topix +1 op 861
In Hong Kong lieten beleggers zich de aanwezige koopjes niet afnemen en de Hang Seng stijgt naar 20.341 +283 punten

Governor Kim Choong Soo boosted the seven-day repurchase rate to 2.25 percent from a record low 2 percent, the bank said in a statement in Seoul today.

Hiertoe maakt het bedrijf gebruik van het mobiele netwerk van KPN. Met de acquisitie van Yes Telecom versterkt KPN zijn positie in de MKB-markt in Nederland, alsmede de relatie met resellers van telecomdiensten. Yes Telecom zal binnen het merkenportfolio van KPN onder eigen naam blijven opereren. Financiële details van de transactie worden niet bekend gemaakt.

Door een sterke terugval van de bouwproductie en terughoudendheid onder consumenten groeit de afzet van het mkb dit jaar waarschijnlijk slechts met 0,5 procent, zo voorspelde onderzoeksbureau EIM vrijdag. Dat de afzet van het mkb nog een kleine groei vertoont is te danken aan de industrie, groothandel en zakelijke dienstverlening, die wel weten op te krabbelen uit de diepe recessie. De groei in het mkb steekt echter schril af bij die van de grote bedrijven. Die profiteren veel meer van de opleving van de wereldhandel en zien de afzet naar verwachting met 2,5 procent groeien.

July 9 (Bloomberg) -- GlaxoSmithKline Plc’s embattled diabetes drug Avandia is undergoing a safety review by European regulators, and there will be a similar analysis of the drug next week by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
“This is not an automatic review,” Monika Benstetter, a spokeswoman for the European Medicines Agency, said in a telephone interview. “It happens when there are new safety concerns,” she said. Normally decisions are made “quite quickly, though there is not really a timeline now,” she said.

Growth in the world’s largest economy will average 2.8 percent from the current quarter through the second quarter of 2011, according to the median estimate of 52 economists surveyed from July 1 to July 8, down 0.1 percentage point from last month. While recent housing, manufacturing and employment figures suggested the U.S. economy is more vulnerable, the survey shows the recovery will survive the effects of Europe’s debt crisis and China’s efforts to slow growth. With few signs of inflation, the Federal Reserve will wait longer than previously anticipated before raising interest rates.
