July 15 (Bloomberg) -- The Bank of Japan kept interest rates unchanged and predicted growth in the world’s second- largest economy will slow next year as fiscal stimulus evaporates worldwide and overseas demand loses steam.
Policy makers raised their growth forecast for the year ending March 2011 to 2.6 percent from 1.8 percent estimated in April, while cutting next year’s to 1.9 percent from 2 percent, the central bank said in a statement today in Tokyo. The board held the benchmark overnight lending rate at 0.1 percent.

Zij kunnen dan de posities van meerdere partijen zien en daar zelf ook naar gaan handelen!
Wat zie je nu gebeuren?
In de flitshandel pakken ze snel even dat goedkopere partijen aandelen mee en brengen die tegen een iets hogere prijs onder bij een andere partijen, ook daar geen MiFiD. Wie kan dit allemaal nog controleren?
De massaliteit en de snelheid waarmee dit gebeurd, kan alleen steekproef gewijs gecontroleerd worden en achteraf. Wie doet die controle??
Maar de leden van Tom kunnen zo met het uitbrengen van adviezen posten die op de plank zijn blijven liggen gaan slijten of vanuit beleggingsfondsen hun posities verkleinen of uitbreiden. In preparation for commencement of the well integrity test, the middle ram has been closed and a leak has been detected in the choke line of the 3 ram stack. It has been isolated and will be repaired prior to starting the test.
Recovery from the Helix Producer and the Q4000 have been temporarily suspended to allow for the well integrity test preparations.
For the first 12 hours on July 14 (midnight to noon), approximately 5,635 barrels of oil were collected and approximately 3,930 barrels of oil and 23.2 million cubic feet of natural gas were flared.

July 15 (Bloomberg) -- The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries forecast that global oil demand will grow in 2011 at about the same rate as this year, led by developing economies such as China and India. Worldwide crude oil consumption will increase by 1.05 million barrels a day, or 1.2 percent, next year to average 86.41 million barrels a day, the organization’s Vienna-based secretariat said today in its first assessment for 2011. This year OPEC predicts demand will grow 950,000 barrels a day, or 1.1 percent driven by countries outside the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. “The global economic recovery, which is expected to start during the second half of 2010, is projected to continue through the whole of 2011,” OPEC said in the Monthly Oil Market Report. “As in the current year, next year’s oil demand growth will take place in the non-OECD, mainly China, India, the Middle East and Latin America.”

The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia’s general economic index fell to 5.1 this month, the lowest level since August 2009, from 8 in June. Readings above zero signal growth in the regional gauge, which covers eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware. The bank’s orders gauge turned negative for the first time in 12 months.

July 15 (Bloomberg) -- BP Plc may reach an agreement as soon as next week to sell assets to Apache Corp. for $10 billion to $11 billion, including half its stake in Alaska’s Prudhoe Bay field, according to two people familiar with the matter. The deal will probably be an all-cash transaction, said one of the people, who asked not to be named because the negotiations remain private.
BP is pressing to get the deal done before July 27, when it reports second-quarter earnings, said one of the people. Talks were progressing so swiftly this week, negotiators thought the deal might be clinched by July 19. Discussions over the rights of BP’s partners in Prudhoe Bay, the largest U.S. oil field, slowed the timing by a few days, said this person.
