Ogen waren gericht op de ontwikkelingen in het Midden Oosten en dat is gelijk de olie bevoorrading. Olie bleef op $108,20
Verder was het weer 't edelmetaal, en vooral het zilver, dat tikte een nieuwe record aan na 31 jaar en daar zal 't niet bijblijven. Daar was onze ervaring die wij ook in Vancouver hebben opgedaan al. Daar schreven wij dit afgelopen weekend ook al over en gister herhaalden wij dat.
Bij opvragen duurt de levering zeker 6 tot 12 maanden bij grotere hoeveelheden, want dat zilver is er gewoon NIET. Het wordt van en aan elkaar geleend bij uitlevering.

SYDNEY (AFN) - Australië keurt de voorgenomen overname van het Australische beursbedrijf ASX door Singapore Exchange (SGX) af omdat het niet in het belang van het land is. Dat heeft de Australische overheid dinsdag bekendgemaakt.
SGX en ASX willen fuseren om niet achter te blijven bij de Europese en Amerikaanse beursbedrijven die op zoek zijn naar schaalvergroting. Daarmee willen ze de kosten drukken en beter kunnen concurreren. De Singaporese beurs had 7,8 miljard dollar (5,5 miljard euro) willen neertellen om ASX in te lijven. Het is nog onbekend of SGX toch zal proberen de deal door te zetten.

Leger des Heils veld feestelijk geopend
Op zaterdag 19 maart is in Apeldoorn het Leger des Heils veld geopend. Dit werd gedaan tijdens de Open dag van de zorg. Op het terrein is 'De Wending' gevestigd, een ontwenningscentrum van het Leger des Heils. De opening werd verzorgd door directeur Jan Jans en een aantal selectiespelers van AGOVV Apeldoorn.Het sportveld is een plek waar kwetsbare cliënten aan hun conditie en maatschappelijke participatie kunnen werken. Oranjewoud Sport en TenCate ondersteunen dit project van harte. In februari is gestart met de aanleg van het veld en volgens planning op zaterdag 19 maart opgeleverd.

LONDEN (AFN) - De dienstensector in de eurozone heeft in maart de sterkste groei laten zien sinds augustus 2007. Vooral in Duitsland en Frankrijk toonden dienstverlenende bedrijven sterke vooruitgang. Dat maakte marktonderzoeker Markit dinsdag bekend. De inkoopmanagersindex voor de dienstensector liet voor maart een definitieve stand zien van 57,2 tegen een voorlopige schatting van 56,9. In februari stond de graadmeter op 56,8. Een stand van boven de 50 wijst op groei, daaronder op krimp van de sector. De barometer voor de dienstensector in de eurozone staat nu al negentien maanden op rij op groei. De dienstensector omvat bedrijven in onder meer de luchtvaart, financiën en de horeca.

Moody's said the debt was still under negative review, with further downgrades dependent on Lisbon's ability to secure medium-term funding. "The limited migration of the rating to Baa1 (and not lower) in today's action, reflects Moody's assessment that assistance would be provided by the other members of the euro zone if Portugal needs financing on an expedited basis before it can obtain funds from the European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF)," Moody's said in a statement. "Moody's believes the new government will likely approach the facility as a matter of urgency."

De medische wereld zou 't plan wel omarmen, wat is er niet mooier als wij in Vancouver in het ziekenhuis hadden gekomen. Met 1 druk op de knop hadden zij dan kunnen zien wat ons medischdossier was, met alles erin.

LEIDSCHENDAM (AFN) - Bodemonderzoeker Fugro gaat de Amerikaanse kust in kaart brengen, zowel vanuit de lucht als op de grond. Daartoe heeft het bedrijf een vijfjarig contract getekend met de National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Dat maakte Fugro dinsdag bekendgemaakt zonder financiële details te vermelden. Maandag maakte Fugro bekend contracten ter waarde van 180 miljoen dollar (127 miljoen euro) te hebben afgesloten in Brazilië.

Reuters) - Diamond Foods Inc (DMND.O) plans to buy Pringles from Procter & Gamble Co (PG.N) for $1.5 billion in stock, tripling the size of a company that has been binging on snack foods while marking P&G's long expected exit from the food business. Pringles, known for its potato chips sold in more than 140 countries, will expand Diamond's global footprint and more than double its sales in the United States and the UK -- making it the second biggest snack foods company in the world behind PepsiCo Inc (PEP.N). Shares of Diamond Foods rose as much as 12 percent on Tuesday.
