IBC marks the European show debut for two new Assureon models launched earlier this year. The new appliances -- Assureon SA(TM) and Assureon NX(TM) -- provide simple and secure archiving capabilities for all types of entertainment and content creation including TV, film and video production, broadcast and long-term preservation.

Nexsan's Assureon SA Searchable Archive Appliance is a complete disk-based archiving solution for up to 20 million files that offers a browser-type search engine for rapid file retrieval of audio recordings, video, music, blogs, IP video, streaming content and alike. Users can input key words or phrases to search for documents of any age regardless of whether records about the author or the date of origin are still known.

The Assureon family of disk-based archive systems delivers the highest levels of data security by combining hardware-accelerated data encryption with remote data replication and integrated information lifecycle management (ILM). Assureon is built around a "hardened" disk-based archive with an elite set of storage applications designed to meet the customer's backup, disaster recovery, security and compliance standards while delivering fast, easy and continuous access to fixed-content data at the lowest possible cost per terabyte. De-duplication functionality extends Assureon's backup appliance operations to control the number of instances of a file in the store.
