Ludwigshafen, Germany – December 30, 2010 – With immediate effect, or as existing contracts permit, BASF is increasing its European sales prices for ethanolamines (EOA) as follows:
Monoethanolamines (MEOA) + €100/metric ton
Diethanolamines (DEOA) + €100/metric ton
Triethanolamines (TEOA) + €110/metric ton
or by the existing amount in local currency.
Ethanolamines are high-class intermediates used in the manufacture of agrochemicals and wood protectants, surfactants for detergents and cleaning products, process chemicals for gas treatment, lubricants and cement additives as well as active pharmaceutical ingredients.
BASF produces EOA at its Verbund sites in Ludwigshafen, Germany; and Antwerp, Belgium.
BASF raises prices for morpholine in EuropeLudwigshafen,
- Germany – December 30, 2010 – Effective immediately or as existing contracts allow, BASF is raising its morpholine sales prices in Europe by 150 euros per metric ton or the equivalent amount in local currency.
Morpholine is a valuable intermediate in many applications, for example for the production of rubber chemicals, corrosion inhibitors, biocides and optical brighteners. BASF has morpholine manufacturing capacities at its sites in Ludwigshafen, Germany; and Geismar, Louisiana. |
