SOLVAC S.A.
SECOND INTERIM DIVIDEND INCREASED
The Board of Directors of Solvac S.A. has decided to pay a second interim dividend. Still subject to
approval by the General Meeting of Shareholders, this second interim dividend represents the balance of
the total dividend payment for the 2005 accounting year.

This second interim dividend free of withholding tax, payable on February 23, 2006, is up by 4.5 %. It
amounts to:
• EUR 1.1500 net per ordinary share (EUR 1.1000 in 2004)
• EUR 1.3033 net per VVPR share (EUR 1.2467 in 2004)

The shares will be negotiated “ex dividend” on the Stock Exchange as from Monday, January 23, 2006.
Taking this second interim dividend into account, the total dividend is increased compared to that of the
previous accounting year and amounts to:
• EUR 2.9500 net per ordinary share (EUR 2.8000 in 2004)
• EUR 3.34334 net per VVPR share (EUR 3.1734 in 2004)

This rise reflects the increase by Solvay S.A. of its dividend (2004 fiscal year) from EUR 1.8 net to
EUR 1.9.
