. SILVER QUEST ADOPTS SHAREHOLDER RIGHTS PLAN
Silver Quest Resources Ltd. has adopted a shareholder rights plan, similar to existing shareholder rights plans adopted by other Canadian public companies.

The Company's Board has approved the Plan to ensure, to the extent possible, that all shareholders of the Company are treated equally and fairly in connection with any take-over bid for the Company. The Plan discourages discriminatory, coercive or unfair take-overs of the Company and gives the Company's Board of Directors time if, in the circumstances, the Board determines it is appropriate to take such time, to pursue alternatives to maximize shareholder value in the event an unsolicited take-over bid is made for all or a portion of the outstanding common shares of the Company (the "Common Shares").

In order to implement the adoption of the Plan, the Board authorized the issuance of one right (a "Right") in respect of each Common Share outstanding at the close of business on June 24, 2011 (the "Record Time"). In addition, the Board authorized the issuance of one Right in respect of each additional Common Share issued after the Record Time. The Rights trade with and are represented by Common Share certificates including certificates issued prior to the Record Time. Until such time as the Rights separate from the Common Shares and become exercisable, Rights certificates will not be distributed to shareholders.

SILVER QUEST ANNOUNCES 4.0 METRES AVERAGING 165.4 G/T AU IN STEP-OUT DRILLING AT DAVIDSON GOLD PROJECT, BC

Silver Quest Resources Ltd. has released its drill results from 22 holes (BW 149 through BW 170) received from the continuing 20,000-metre drill campaign to expand the resources on the Davidson gold project, a joint venture with New Gold Inc., which is the operator of the joint venture. Silver Quest has a 25% interest in the joint venture. The project is approximately 110 kilometres southwest of Vanderhoof, BC.

Of particular significance, multiple high-grade intercepts were returned in addition to thick sequences of bulk-tonnage gold mineralization. Highlights include: four metres of 165.4 grams/tonne ("g/t") gold in hole BW 156 and one metre intercepts of 46.0 and 33.5 g/t gold in holes BW 158 and 162, respectively. Multiple intercepts grading 5 g/t gold or better over widths of at least one metre occurred in several holes.
